I am writing my own song and I want it copywrite, so people can’t get it…
please no bad comments or answers
It’s copyright btw, not copywrite - even though your writing it.
Anything you do, all creative works done by you, are automatically copyrighted. They are yours, and nobody else’s. If you write a song and somebody steals it, you can sue. That’s why, when I write a song and get help with lyrics from someone else’s poetry, i get express permission and make it clear to them that these are now my lyrics.
This copyright issue is whats been plaguing youtube. Networks and other corporations of copyrighted material claim copyright infringement for having their material shared. However, everything on youtube has creative copyright. Someone can’t legally take your video and use it in a commercial without your permission.
If your writing at an amateur level, you don’t need to worry about protective copyrighting your material. When you start to get published or sell your material, then you should have an agent look into these things for you.

I’m currently doing affiliate marketing and would like to improve my copywriting skills.
Copywriting in the sense of advertising. E.G. "discover the 10 secrets that will accelerate your fatburning"
He means copywriting - the act of writing persuasive content (copy) that sells
If I were you, I would learn from the professionals and go with a course like AWAI (www.awaionline.org) - it’s a bit more expensive but the training is excellent. Likewise, pick up some books such as Tested Advertising Methods by John Caples and The Copywriter’s Handbook by Bob Bly as well as the Ultimate Sales Letter by Dan Kennedy. These are copywriting must-haves if you’re serious about learning from the best.
Good luck!

i have a major in english.
It would be great if you could take a course or internship so you could start building a portfolio. A portfolio is essential–also a knowledge/familiarity with advertising. Be able to discuss what you consider to be successful ads and why. What ads do you really like, and why. Check out publications like Adweek and Advertising Age, especially the critiques of ads so you start building an understanding of how to construct an effective piece of communication. Good luck!

Copyrighting is easy; all you need to do is be able to prove that you created the material before a certain date. Actually, whenever you create the material you automatically have the copyright, but if you ever needed to prove it you would need a dated copy.
This will work: send a copy of the manuscript to yourself in the mail. Take the parcel down to the post office and have the clerk stamp the parcel all over with the date. Then send it to yourself. When it arrives, just hang on to it and don’t open it. If you ever need to establish that you hold the copyright, you’ll have a copy inside a dated envelope!
As for publishing, I have no idea.
