I have very limited HTML knowledge and would ideally like a very simple solution that will also be able to track & report responses.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
Without a doubt, you want to use PHPList - I’ve written all about it here:
http://www.3bweb.com/site-features/email-newsletters/
It’s FREE to own and use, for as many emails as you like - FAR better than any of the externally hosted solutions, which don’t send out from your domain, and charge per email!

I am looking in to building an online business and allot of references tell you to conduct market research but I don’t know how to. My business would revolve around making youtube videos and making money through affiliate marketing.
Step1
Identify your research goal. Ask yourself if do you need to improve customer service or increase sales? Or are you looking for the right market for a new product?
Step2
To determine the demographics of your market use trade journals, marketing magazines, government reports and chamber of commerce market profiles.
These publications are helpful in providing data on purchasing trends that serve you a clue on the buying habits of your target market.
Step3
Be able to conduct mail and telephone surveys using randomly selected addresses and telephone numbers in your local area.
Step4
You should collect information from your existing customers. Using questionnaires, personal interviews and focus groups to get feedback on your products and services are of great help. If you do have a Web site for your business, start a chat room or message board and encourage customers to participate.
Step5
Try to observe customers at various points of contact in your business, including reception, sales, and customer service. Be watchful for glitches in your business operation and at the same time how your employees interact with the customers.
Step6
You should take time to analyze your sales records. If you know your best customers and most profitable products this can help you to better focus your marketing efforts.
Step7
Organizing the research data you have collected and be able to determine - or reevaluate - your marketing strategy based on the results of your research.

So what’s some of the fastest ways to promote your company on the internet? I can think of PPC so far being the best. SEO takes too long. Besides craigslist, myspace, email marketing, what’s the fastest way that you can get your name out there instantly. Instance is the key.
Viral marketing and word of mouth. You can do this by having something really interesting and unique to offer. Approach an influential blogger and let the person know about your site. Or issue a press release and alert media writers and editors about your release.
If you are offering something SPECIAL, word about the business will spread very fast. The key is to target the INFLUENCERS — those who can spread the word for you fast.
One of the classic viral marketing example is Hotmail, which spread so fast because of the link at the bottom of its emails. The movie Snakes on a Plane spread so fast on the Internet too (too bad nobody cared enough to go watch it in the movies)

I have just recently enrolled as an associate with a marketing company. Is it possible that I could somehow start up a page on Facebook that would relate to the product, be personal yet send traffic to my website for possible business. Is this even allowed by facebook?
Yes, Facebook has an option to create a free page specifically for businesses. You can create the page by creating your own Facebook account (don’t worry, no one will see that your account is assciated with the business page) and then go to http://www.facebook.com/business/?pages where you can begin to design a page for your company and/or product. You can add pictures, descriptions, company information, forums, links, etc etc.
Good luck, and let me know if you have any additional questions.

I want to promote and brand my website to survive in the SEO world. My ultimate goal is to drive quality traffic (don’t want junk traffic) and to grasp more customers through goal conversion.
I have already tried Advanced SEO tactics like
1). Community Creation in Social Networking (Web 2.0 - Participatory Web)
2). Blog Posting & Commenting
3). Guest Blogging
4). Link Baiting
5). Cross-Linking (Internal Linking)
6). Forum Postings
7). Business Listings (Entrepreneur, Industry specific, Business Associations & Chambers Listings)
8). Video Promotions (Youtube, Metacafe, Dailymotion, etc.,)
9). Business Reviews
10). Social Bookmarking (Tagsonomy & Folksonomy)
11). Photo sharing (Flicker, Picassa, etc.,)
12). Answers (Yahoo Answers, Cha-Cha, Answer Bag, etc.,)
13). Document Sharing (Google Docs, Slide Share, etc.,)
14) CSS & W3C website Directories
15). Widget Development
Any suggestions are welcome….
Thanks for your time.
P.S: I have also tried Link Exchange with relevant sites (Thematic Link Exchange)
I have 2 more things to add to the list.
1) To get a content link from the sites/blogs related to your site theme. That is getting a link from middle of their site content with your anchor text. We know that it is hard to get but it is more natural and has more weight age in the search engine point of view.
2) Go for PPC ad campaigns with your targetted keywords.

It’s for a project about war and desensitized civilians.
It actually is for a project, and don’t act like I’m sick for seeing something that happened. I don’t want to live in a bubble.
School project my heinie, why not just be honest and say that you want to see it for yourself.

filling out the application?
AJ Sun Consulting is the company that the character Henry Spivey (Christian Slater) works for on the show "My Own Worst Enemy." It’s also a front for the government agency Janus. There’s been some speculation that it may indeed be for a viral/alternate reality game, but nothing’s happened yet. Check out the link below for a forum where others are following it as well.
